"Introduction to Watercolors" Art Class
Slated for August 3 in Union Museum
Union Museum of History and Art will offer a class in watercolor painting on Saturday, August 3, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The “Introduction to Watercolors” class will be led by Teddy Graves, a lifelong artist and Fine Arts student at Centenary College in Shreveport. Fee for the class is $5. To enroll, call 318-982-8020 by July 30. Enrollees will be given a list of basic art supplies they will need to bring to the class.
This class will teach the basic techniques of the watercolor medium. There will be demonstrations of the various techniques employed in watercolor, such as wet and dry painting and gradients. Then, participants will follow alongside their instructor in making a painting composed of the different techniques learned.
