Celebrating Louisiana
Union Museum of History and Art is hosting a traveling exhibition of artworks entitled “Celebrating Louisiane” until May 30. The juried collection of paintings embodying the culture, life and lagniappe of Louisiana, is sponsored by the Louisiana Art and Folk Festival in cooperation with the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. Featured artists, all of North Louisiana, are Betsey Levels, Daniel Myers, Jason Byron Nelson, Loretta Owens, Melanie Douthit, Samantha Oubre, Stacie Austin and Stacy Medaries.
Union Museum of History and Art is located at 211 N. Main St., Farmerville. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 1 to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.
The year-long traveling art exhibit is visiting sites throughout Northeast Louisiana, including Oak Grove, Ruston, Bastrop, Lake Providence, West Monroe, Columbia, in addition to Farmerville.Date and Time
