  • "CHRISTMAS IN THE STATE PARK"
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
    THIS YEAR'S DATES: DEC 9-16 2023

The Union Parish Chamber's "Christmas in the Park" will hold its 8 day run from Saturday night, December 9-16th.
This year we will continue to expand our activities, increase the number of participant churches, choirs, merchants, arts, crafts and food vendors. The event was a tremendous success last year and we want to express our appreciation to all the participants and visitors. 2023 will be even bigger and better.
We are proud to announce that in partnership with the Office of State Parks, we will be moving our dates for our "Christmas in the State Park" at Lake D'Arbonne State Park to Dec 9-16th, 5:30-9:00 pm.
I want to thank our sponsors for this year, headed by our Title Sponsor, Union General Hospital. Our Gold Sponsors will be announced as we approach our event. Thanks to all our sponsors for making this event possible.
The area merchants and churches that decorated their Christmas scenes and religious messages are already asking about this year's dates, so mark your calendars for Dec 9-16th. If you want to reserve your site to display decorations for your business or church, please contact Kiera at our Chamber (318) 368-3947 to reserve your place.
Again, mark your calendar for Dec 9-16th, 5:30-9:00 pm at the Lake D'Arbonne State Park. Make plans to bring your entire family and experience this wonderful display.
One of the reasons we are moving our dates back is to not interfere with the Chamber's "Christmas on the Square" on Dec 2nd 2023. During the "Christmas on the Square" we will have Vendors, Pet Parade, Christmas Tree Lighting, and Christmas Parade.
The next day, Dec 3rd 2023, we will have our "Shop U.P. (Union Parish)", encouraging everyone to visit retail merchants throughout the parish.
Please visit our "Christmas in the State Park" page on Facebook for photos and many activities. For more details or to participate, please contact our Chamber office, 318-368-3947 or email assistant@unionparishchamber.org

  • 2020 LACCE Chamber of Year for LouisianaAt the annual Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference (LACCE) which ended today, it was announced that Union Parish Chamber of Commerce was selected as the mid-size Chamber of the Year.  Chamber President Jon McKinnie stated, “We are truly honored to be considered for this award given by this statewide organization.  The strong leadership of our Chamber Chairperson Paula Strickland and the hard work of our Chamber board made this possible.  We appreciate the community support for our chamber’s outstanding projects.”

LACCE is the professional development organization for chambers of commerce executives and staff members in Louisiana. LACCE equips chamber professionals with leadership development opportunities and tools to build innovative chambers.

LACCE stated, “Many chambers have risen to today’s challenges to provide unparalleled leadership and direction, helping their members and communities thrive.  This type of performance reflects the solid organizational infrastructure built through much hard work and diligence.

It is the goal of the LACCE Chamber of the Year Award program to recognize those chambers that have distinguished themselves and their community through excellence in chamber management.  The entries were judged by an out-of-state panel of judges comprised of current chamber executives.  Recognition is based on the past 12 month’s accomplishments.
